Same Day Crowns

Previously, when a patient needed a crown, they received a temporary plastic one to wear while an offsite lab created their permanent one. However, at Jeffrey I Klioze, DDS, LTD in Burke, VA, we use the revolutionary Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics (CEREC) System. With the CEREC System, we are able to create our patients’ permanent crowns on-site. Since patients receive their crowns during one visit, they are frequently referred to as same day crowns.

Computer Aided Design Software (CAD)

CAD software helps our team create an accurate 3D model of your tooth.

Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM)

CAM technology uses the 3D model that CAD creates as a blueprint to mill same day crowns.

We create your custom-designed permanent crown out of a ceramic material (e.g., porcelain and zirconia). The CEREC mill uses a high-speed diamond bur and disk to produce your same day crown.

We use CAD/CAM technology, ceramic, and a milling device to create your dental crown.

While our clinician mills your new crown, our warm and caring dental professionals prepare the tooth that’s receiving the same day crown.

After creating your ceramic crown, the clinician makes sure the color of the crown matches your other teeth. If the crown’s color is a match, we’ll go ahead and place your same day crown.
